Elevator pitch

We are two data developers based in Italy and Finland, discover with us how Python’s geospatial libraries can be leveraged to analyze and visualize the impacts of climate change in these two countries. Join our 45-minute session to explore real-world data through interactive notebooks.

Abstract

In this talk, we will delve into the use of Python for geospatial analysis to explore climate indexes on Italy and Finland. Utilizing popular Python libraries like Xarray, Geopandas, Folium and Plotly, you will engage with real-world datasets through practical exercises. The session will cover data manipulation, visualization, and analysis techniques to identify significant climate trends and anomalies. By the end, you will have a clearer understanding of how Python tools can be employed to analyze environmental data effectively.
